Card Meaning: Knight Of Wands

Knight of Wands

Element: Fire.
Astrology: Leo, Aries and Sagittarius.
Age: young man less than 35 years of age.
Appearance: fair hair, grey or blue eyes.

Rampant warrior on a wild horse that symbolizes his uncurbed instincts and passion is storming through the plains. Salamanders on his mantle and ornaments on his armour describe his fiery and fearless nature. In the background we see the Egyptian pyramids, probably indication of his adventurous nature. His courage is not always good because partly it is product of his rashness and lightheadedness. As a consequence this warrior often over-commits himself in endeavours that are not worthy of energy he invests. He is a keen believer into chivalry and will be first to help the weak and oppressed.

Positive: dramatic changes in events; moving away from one's residence, travel, advancement into unknown, enthusiastic, atheletic.

Negative: impulsive, violent, restless, argumentative, jealous.

He is shewn as if upon a journey, armed with a short wand, and although mailed is not on a warlike errand. He is passing mounds or pyramids. The motion of the horse is a key to the character of its rider, and suggests the precipitate mood, or things connected therewith. Divinatory Meanings: Departure, absence, flight, emigration. A dark young man, friendly. Change of residence. Reversed: Rupture, division, interruption, discord.
