Card Meaning: Queen Of Cups
Element: Water.
Astrology: Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces.
Age: woman of any age.
Appearance: fair/brown hair, brown or blue eyes.
General
This is the ultimate card for intuition, psychic powers and tremendous
insights but also for daydreaming and losing in the imaginary world. This card
is similar to The High Priestess card in the more than one hallmark. We see that
dress is merging with the river beneath her feet just as it does in The High
Priestess cards. These are two very watery and feminine cards that are all about
misteries, intuition, hidden knowledge and secrets. Pay attention how the cup in
her hand is closed, like that there is something hidden. Most of the activity
here is going on in the background, in the subconscious. As the other court
cards in the Cups suite, this card also sends message that we need to apply
intuition in our life.
Reading
Positive:
dedication to home and family, sensitivity and empathic nature, adored and
beloved, motherly figure, caring about others, psychic ability, intuitive,
compassionate.
Negative: dishonest, illogical, unfaithful, vain, be careful not to lose touch
with reality.
Beautiful, fair, dreamy--as one who sees visions in a cup. This is, however,
only one of her aspects; she sees, but she also acts, and her activity feeds her
dream. Divinatory Meanings: Good, fair woman; honest, devoted woman, who
will do service to the Querent; loving intelligence, and hence the gift of
vision; success, happiness, pleasure; also wisdom, virtue; a perfect spouse and
a good mother. Reversed: The accounts vary; good woman; otherwise,
distinguished woman but one not to be trusted; perverse woman; vice, dishonour,
depravity.
