Card Meaning: Knight Of Cups

Knight of Cups

Element: Water.
Astrology: Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces.
Age: young man.
Appearance: fair/brown hair, brown or blue eyes.

General

Knight of Cups is riding gracefully and calmly, he is not galloping across the plains as do Knight of Wands and Knight of Swords. He is the knight but he is also a messenger, we can see that by the wings on his helmet, reminiscence on the Greek god Hermes, the messenger of the Gods. When this card shows up we can expect invitations, proposals of romantic nature and generaly speaking - good news. This is also the card that signifies intuition. Maybe we will meet someone who is intuitive or maybe we will encounter the situation that will demand from us more intuitive behaviour.

Reading

Positive: inducement, invitations, news, intuition, advancement, arrival, instant attraction.

Negative: lies, trickery, emotions abused, cunning.

Graceful, but not warlike; riding quietly, wearing a winged helmet, referring to those higher graces of the imagination which sometimes characterize this card. He too is a dreamer, but the images of the side of sense haunt him in his vision. Divinatory Meanings: Arrival, approach--sometimes that of a messenger; advances, proposition, demeanour, invitation, incitement. Reversed: Trickery, artifice, subtlety, swindling, duplicity, fraud.
